About

Mission

It’s My Future Toronto [IMFTO] is a special program bringing together education, industry, and government to provide the opportunity for 8-12 years old BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) youth to design Toronto’s future for the next 3-5 years. Themes have included recovery from COVID-19, systemic racism, and this year’s theme biodiversity.

The program works with community organizations to recruit up to 100 youth. Youth participants are guided through the process via “how to” videos on the website www.itsmyfutureto.ca and workshops by professional journalists, designers, advertisers, community activists, movie directors, and policy experts.
